ELLIIT board invites proposals for pre-projects

Deadline is Friday 21 February.

– Published 4 February 2020

In the 2020 national budget bill for University Research and Education, an additional 72 MSEK/year were allocated to the strategic research area in IT and mobile communications. Against this background, the ELLIIT board invites proposals for pre-projects that explore new directions within the scope of the ELLIIT 2030 Technology Foresight.

To be competitive, projects must initiate new activities. Proposals for continuation of existing activities will not be considered. The recommended instrument is postdoc positions, but there is no strict constraint on the use of funding. Projects may start any time after funding decisions are made, but no later than January 2021. Awarding the projects is contingent on final budget decisions by the LiU administration.

The PI must be based at one of the four sites, LiTH, LU, BTH or HH, and have a permanent or tenuretrack
faculty position with at least 50% activity throughout the duration of the project. The main topic area (1-5 or A-E from the ELLIIT 2030 Technology Foresight) and the collaboration partners should be clearly defined in the executive summary. The deadline is 21 February, 2020.

For more details, see call for proposals.
