Nanocosmic Investigations. The Exhibition.

– Published 5 April 2022

You are warmly invited to the opening of the group exhibition and seminar at IAC to see the work that has grown out of Nanocosmic Investigations – Artists in Conversation with ESS. A remote and mainly digitally based artist residency scheme that has been active since the summer of 2021. Multiple knowledge forms have interacted, been translated, adapted and bend into and towards each other in this collaborative experiment where artists working within performance, video and sound were matched with engineers, biologists and nuclear physicists.

The extended seminar the day after the opening includes lunch and a tour of the exhibition and is aimed primarily at the partners and stakeholders of the project. But it is open to all who are interested. The seminar will focus on the process and different modes of collaboration between the participating artists and ESS scientists and engineers. Each collaboration will present reflections on their process and outcome, with time for specific questions from the audience. In the end we will have a more open discussion, where we also will try to reflect on the future perspectives of this collaborative initiative of arts and science.
