The Swedish e-Science Academy will take place in Uppsala lunch-to-lunch on 11-12 October, 2023 (see the Swedish e-Science Academy calendar event).

There is now an opportunity to suggest satellite events in Uppsala either just before or just after the e-Science Academy. eSSENCE will provide support in the form of meeting rooms and coffee/tea.

The satellite meetings are expected to last one day or half a day. They could be centred on a specific research topic, or they could have an e-Science approach as the theme, e.g. visualisation, or making data available to a general audience.

To suggest a satellite meeting, please send a one-page application to Andreas Hellander, andreas.hellander@it.uu.se, by noon, Tuesday 13 June.

The proposal should include:

1. a general description of the topic of the satellite meeting
2. organising committee for the scientific programme
3. a sketch of the programme including suggested speakers as appropriate
4. motivation for a preferred time slot, if any
5. the expected number of participants and what areas they would represent
6. a short description of the likely outcomes of the satellite meeting
