Abstract
Within computer vision and machine learning, quite a lot of scientific output is published through refereed papers presented at conferences. Typically for these conferences researchers produce full length papers that are refereed (often using double-blind review) and then published and presented at the conference. According to google scholars h5-metric, which has nature at spot 1 and science at spot 4, there are six conferences among the top 25 venues world-wide, i.e. CVPR, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ECCV and ICCV. This is mainly due to the fact that many of the results that are driving the machine learning revolution are published in such venues. Next year, 8-13 September, 2026, we will organise the ECCV at Malmö Arena+Malmömässan.
During this lunch seminar I will talk about the importance of these venues for the field and talk about possibilities to submit papers but also to submit suggestions for workshops that are organised in conjunction with the ECCV.
